This scraper was jointly developed by Japan's leading demolition tool manufacturer, Tonkachi Susa Manufacturing, and an asbestos removal company. 

So while this is a general scraper that can be used for rust and paint removal, and whatever else you need a scraper for, it was purposefully designed as a specialist asbestos removal tool.

The scraper blade is hand-polished stainless steel, and the non-slip grip is comfortable and easy to hold. The "thick" variety of Susa scraper comes in at 1.4mm thick to ensure strength and durability over time.
